Phan has been learning Muay Chaiya for several years now, and has been a frequent student at Baan Chang Thai. His school, Muay Thai Chaiya Academy is in Nashville, Tennesse in the US and is one of the few places to learn in the states.In his own words:
We are one of the first Muay Thai schools in the U.S that offers traditional (ancient or old) style Muay Thai. This art can be used in a real life situation in as little as two months. It strikes opponents with the fists, elbows, knees, shins, and feet. It can be used as a means of self-defense or in the ring. It's also an effective means of getting fit.

1.) To teach a traditional art.
2.) To teach honor, respect, and discipline.
3.) To encourage our students to achieve their goals.
4.) To provide with a means of self protection.
